UCM
Student
Leadership
Students on the UCM Student Leaders work alongside the rest of the ministry team to strengthen the ministry, encourage fellow students, and grow in faith through action. Students who serve as team leaders or student interns play an active role in prayerfully discerning how the UCM can engage students at Texas State and make a positive difference in the community around us. Students interested in leadership should be committed to helping the UCM live into the following values:
Love of Jesus Christ: The love freely given by Jesus Christ is at the foundation of who we are and how we live
Authentic Faith: We explore faith honestly by asking questions, embracing scripture, tradition, reason, and experience
Genuine Joy: We cultivate true joy rooted in the love of Christ, embracing gratitude, friendship, and fun
Inclusion & Equity: We nurture diversity and ensure everyone has an equal voice in our ministry and community
Spiritual Purpose: We discover our unique callings from God and live out our purpose in the world
Service & Mission: We make a positive difference as members of our campus, our town, and as citizens of the world outside the church walls in our everyday lives
Beloved Community: We strive to create a community where all are valued and have their needs met by practicing compassion
