WORSHIP BAND
Our worship band exists to help college students experience the glory of God.
The UCM worship band brings together musicians to create a sacred space of music during our weekly worship on Wednesdays at 7:30pm.
Wednesdays: 5:30pm (Practice) | 7:30pm (Worship)
WORSHIP LEADER
Worship leaders work with a full band to plan, practice, and perform a full set during weekly worship.
Worship leaders:
create a sacred space with music for a worship experience
recruit and confirm band members for the week
meet with Pastor Todd to choose songs that reflect the weekly worship theme
setup the worship in Planning Center to provide song-sheets for musicians and lyrics for worship slide
manage the audio-visual to ensure optimal sound during worship
manage and lead a one-hour practice with the band
lead the band in worship during the weekly worship
WORSHIP MUSICIAN
Worship musician bring professional experience in a specific instrument to the worship band.
Worship musicians:
support a sacred space with music for a worship experience
learn and individually practice their specific parts in the worship set
attend weekly practice with the full band
play during the weekly worship
STUDENT MUSICIAN
Student musician offer their musical skills to the worship band while gaining practical experience and training.
Student musicians:
support a sacred space with music for a worship experience
learn and individually practice their specific parts in the worship set
attend weekly practice with the full band
play during the weekly worship
Volunteer position; Money available for lessons plus access to UCM instruments
