Serve San Marcos

Local volunteering made interesting and easy!

Vounteering should be easy, interesting and make a difference! But too often it can be difficult to find volunteering opportunties, it can be almost impossible to coordinate schedules, and it becomes a hassle to track service hours.

ServeSanMarcos.org is a community project that brings volunteers and nonprofits together in San Marcos. With a simple search, volunteers can explore the wide variety of ways to help their local community. You can help with education, food, nature, animals, housing, health, and many other ways. Connect with a project you are passionate about and explore new ways to serve!

We are here to connect peoples passions with the community needs.  In under 5 minutes, volunteers can review and signup for help on projects. Gone are the days of phone tag and hours of long emails.  And once the project is complete - its as simple as entering hours served to automatically create a civic transcript that records service details with  hours.

2018 Costa Rica

Spring Break 2018 Costa Rica

March 11-18, 2018

Join the United Campus Ministry of Texas State as we partner with San Antonio students of Wesley SATX for a 2018 mission trip to Costa Rica!

Team members build relationships with local Christians and encourage their ongoing ministry while helping with building projects. Teams may also work with local leaders in surrounding villages to help provide education for youth through building new education facilities. At the same time, volunteers help with children's programs on site planting seeds of faith for dozens of local kids every day. We'll also take a day to enjoy the natural beauty of Costa Rica!

The estimated student cost is an all-inclusive $1,000 for airfare, lodging, meal, and ground transporation. Students can bring extra money for souveniers, snacks and drinks, and other items.

Please note the Monday October 23rd deadline for the $100 non-refundable despoit to secure a space on the mission trip!  The deposit can be made via check/card online at give.ucmtxstate.org or given to Pastor Todd.

In the meantime, visit Costa Rica Casa Hogar Metodista on facebook to get a peek of how you can help. Sign up below if you would like to get more details.
